Our Congress Doesn’t look like Us

America is getting more and more diverse — for instance, our Hispanic population grew by 43 percent in the past decade alone — but you’d never be able to tell it by looking at our Congress. Here’s what the House and Senate look like today, alongside what they would look like if they were demographically representative of our nation. Spoiler alert: There’s not a lot of color on the Hill.

The paramount issue is upward mobility for diverse communities. Running for Public Office is not cheap. When we begin to look into income levels and backgrounds, I think we will find the reflection accurate. Another factor, I would have liked to see in this study is age.  How old is our country vs our congress?

Buppies, What can we do to elevate our people into this type of servant leadership?

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950′s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU, and abortion clinics. Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, Katie Couric and Rosie O’Donnell…

We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you CBS, NBC, CNBC and Hollywood ..

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks, and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We’ll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks American made cars and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We’ll continue to believe healthcare is not a right. We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem and “In God We Trust” where it belongs. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We’ll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I’ll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Hope all of you did your taxes. If not, WHATS WRONG WITH YOU???
You see my taxes were done First week in February because I need my money on time!
Anyway, saw this posting and thought I share this great info about how the OBAMA’s 1040 looks like.

As another demonstration of the President’s commitment to openness and transparency, today the White House issued the following releases making the President and Vice President’s tax returns public:

President and First Lady Release 2008 Income Tax Returns
Today, the President released his 2008 federal income tax returns. He and the First Lady filed their income tax returns jointly and reported an adjusted gross income of $2,656,902. The vast majority of the family’s 2008 income is the proceeds from the sale of the President’s books. The Obamas paid $855,323 in federal income tax.
The President and First Lady also reported donating $172,050 – or about 6.5% of their adjusted gross income – to 37 different charities. The largest reported gifts to charity were $25,000 contributions to CARE and the United Negro College Fund.
The President and First Lady also released their Illinois income tax return and reported paying $77,883 in state income taxes.

Today is Monday. Tomorrow is the beginning of what seems the rest of my Buppie Life.

The way my stomach is turning every time I think of the results, you would have thought I was a 7 year old who just realized they have to bring home a report card with a D on it!

Whatever the results I really have to thank this election for getting some many people involved. Including me!

Honestly, I will always remember at least 2 elections. This current one, and of course the day George W Bush got elected. I just knew he would bring back slavery.

What ever the case is tomorrow. Let’s GET IT Buppies!

OK Third Debate. We are closer to naming someone our President of The United States America!

There is all this damn talk about Joe the damn Plumber, Joe Six Pack! EWW.

You must of forgot all about Joanna the Buppie or Johnathan the Buppie?

All over the US, us buppies are upset with this government.

Education:

In the words of Ms. Buppie Buppie, “I HAVE BEEN PAYING SALLIE MAE THEIR MONEY FOR 2 YEARS AND MY LOAN STILL 20 G’S!” Education is too damn expensive. Our kids school sucks. American schools are not good enough. Charter schools are cool. But damn I do not always qualify?

Business being Fined for lack of healthcare:

If you do business, and you cannot afford to provide healthcare for your employees, you deserved to get fined! Main reason people need healthcare cuz they are working too damn hard!

Healthcare Credit from John McCain:

5000 for the whole yr??? Whylin! .

Employment:

We need to create jobs. We do need to reexamine everything, and cut strategically.

Taxes:

I cut your ass if you raise my damn taxes!

All buppies differ in what they think, just as plumbers. However neither candidate has addressed us? What would you tell them? Are they are whylin? Did they miss a point?
